Home Visits
Home visits are for patients who are too ill to get to the surgery. They should be medically justifiable and not requested for social convenience. When requesting a home visit, please submit our get help for any health problem form before 10:30.
Please give the receptionists some details of the problem, allowing the ‘On The Day’ team to assess the urgency and plan their visits accordingly.
A clinician may phone you back, as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a district nurse, or possibly arrange a hospital attendance.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
